Hello world, I'm Jun Yu.

I'm a software engineer from Singapore. I'm always curious about how things work and how to make them work better. Currently, I'm a final year undergraduate student at the National University of Singapore, doing research on improving the quality of citizen science data. I also spread the joy of building through organizing events at NUS Hackers.

Previously, I've been a Software Engineer Intern at Squarepoint Capital, TikTok / Bytedance, Hypotenuse AI and GovTech. I also trained computer vision models for the Digital and Intelligence Service during my mandatory national service.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature and learning about wildlife. I love a good story, whether it's fact or fiction, in a book or on screen. I also enjoy exercising, playing Terraria and trying new foods. I have an unhealthy obsession with cats (though none have adopted me yet).
